Bear with me I have a half clipped horse (not mine!) and am desperate.

Ok so started clipped Bails this morning he just has a low trace, I was v naughty last time and didn't take the clippers apart to clean them so the were a bit hairy, I changed the blades over for new ones last night and tested them all fine. Today to start with they were weird only cutting at one angle, so took the blades off and put them on again, all fine, had a tricky angle round his sheath area and turned the clippers almost upside down, blades fell off (this has never happened before?) as did the little square nut, so put them back together and promptly dropped them on the floor, not far I was crouching down, blades fell off again, so put them back together aggggggggain and they're not working, the mechanism (spinning 'nut') is rotating fine without the blades attached when I screw the blades on they just make a humming noise and the blades don't vibrate. What have I done?

Luckily was doing the clip as a favour Bails used to be my horse but obiously want to finish him off asap. Planning to strip them tonight and put them back together again but clutching at straws, Any mechanically minded HHOers? Is there a man I can send them off to? Nightmare

Can't help in the short term, but if you google Peasridge, they are excellent! I bought clippers from the US, never thought about the difference in power rating and blew them up. Peasridge repaired them very quickly and sent them back with a transformer. Excellent service!

Hi Baileysno1

Have you checked that the tensioning spring is in place? It may have come off when you put the new blades on. This would result in the blades being very loose, as you describe, and then becoming so loose that they fall off.

Best of luck
Woolie
