Even after all the trouble of having our little Petra booked into the vet to have her puppy it was sadly stillborn last night at 10pm. We even though we might lose Petra aswell as she stopped breathing but fingers crossed she is on the road to recovery. I sometimes feel like giving up on life, it's just so cruel

Aww sorry to hear that. My bitch had her puppies back in December and we had one stillborn and another died the following morning as had become separated from the rest of the pups and the Mother wasn't experienced enough to pick it up and return to the warmth of her and the others.

It was deflating but my bitch remained unbothered by the death of the other two.

Glad to hear Petra is recovering well; I don't know whether dogs care much about the loss of something they never had. I'm sure she will return to her normal healthy self soon.

Yes, she is the sort of dog that will get on with life quite happily, but the most shocking thing was when we though we would lose her as well, but glad that she is on the mend, we are never trying to put her in pup ever again after this!
