Dealer makes me so cross!

Just checked out the dealers site where i bought my horse and have seen that another horse that was bought there and was kept on my yard(now returned) that went crazy on someone for no reason and bucked them off has been described as a novice ride! Also had its age and name changed! Worst things is have heard of over 20 similar stories about these people since i bought my horse. Annoys me that these people can get away with these things and not be honest.Am not talking for all dealers just these particular one. Wish something could be done!

yes have done. will cope with my horse just upset that cant stop other people from being duped. Tried consumers direct and watchdog - just wished there was a way to get the word around to not buy from there.

Please think about contacting BHS and ILPH as well. Horses which cannot be safely handled by their novice owners often become Welfare cases

I went with my step mother to look at some cobs a dealer in West Sx was advertising as safe family ponies.

They were not novice/beginner rides by any stretch of the mark.

This guy had a website, and whilst I was thinking whether to dob him in to Trading Standards, suddenly a message came up on the site saying something along the lines of that he'd have to give up dealing due to unscrupulous vets failing all his horses on the vettings.

I thought fantastic! Couldn't imagine that this was all down to vets failing the horses cos not everyone has them vetted and thought maybe Trading Standards had sorted him out. Who ever was responsible: I salute you.
