Today autumn came.
The leaves were glistening golden brown, shining in the balmy crisp sunlight, reminiscent of your beautiful conker coloured coat.
Today is the day that I miss you.
Youve left me now, but your presence in my life is eternal.
You were my light my soul and spirit.
We flew places that most dream of; together in harmony.
We were a team. We were always destined to be as one.
From the moment I first saw you I knew.
In an emerald green meadow you came over to me, a free spirit in a mass, you nuzzled me. A diamond in the rough.
I thought you were the most beautiful horse I had ever seen.
And you are the most beautiful horse I will ever see.
The free spirit, the outlaw, the maverick.
Your non-conformist eccentricity brought me frustration and tears.
But I always knew your phenomenal ability would triumph.
And that it did, I am so proud of you my beautiful girl.
My childhood dreams became a realisation.
You became my inspiration; you gave me meaning in a world so easily swallowed by frivolity and inconsequentiality.
Your eleven years have been totally lived.
Blenheim, Badminton, Burghley, Bramham, Gatcombe, Saumur .
What more could I ask from that little conker coloured mare I fell in love with those years ago. My free spirit, my best friend.
But you knew that didnt you my girl?
You knew your destiny was fulfilled,
Weve accomplished everything we could ever dream of together and more;
You looked at me and told me that, but it broke my heart in two.

I look over at Cassie and I see your baby. Youve shaped her into the wonderful character that she is, she misses you too. Your baby sister, I know shell do you proud.
I look over at Nancy and I see my chance. Youve given me this chance and well ride round Blenheim next time for you, my guardian angel. I know you will be looking over me now. Flying with me, so that Ill always feel safe.

I cried an ocean for you.
I love you so much but I know youre happy now, I feel it in my energy.
You slept so peacefully.
I know you love me too, I know you miss me.
Why is this world so cruel? Why cant I comprehend the reason why you were taken away?

Go jump that moon! I knew you always could, show off.
I will see you soon, but only now in the stillness of night, in the depths of my dreams, we will be reunited and ride in a time without end. And then, when the glow of day comes, everything Ill do is for you now. My opportunities are a manifestation of you and I will fulfil them with a passion, the same gusto you poured into yours.
