That sounds very dodgy to me - almost like this lady is advertising without the other person knowing because shes fed up of having the pony in her field?

I am pregnant hence do not want him in my field and need him out the way
Tracy got her Sam like that... if she could catch him, he was hers..... that was 8/9 years ago!
Poor lil pony. wonder how long he has had the headcollar on?
my pony was like that when i got him tho, the people i brought him off were terrified of going anywhere near him in the field so he wasnt ridden for a year! they made the farrier go and catch him to do his feet. he is a big softy tho, never put a foot wrong for me.
maybe the owners just dont kno what their doing? surely a bucket of food will tempt a native?!
that is terrible. you aren't necessarily going to get the right sort of people if you give it away free. Could they not arrange for a rehoming centre to come and collect it? I don't have transport or my own land or I'd go and get it. If I can catch Daisy I bet I could catch that
Surely someone on here could take it to sell on to save it from going to an idiot
He's so cute. Surely couldnt be that difficult. My friend got a pony on loan and it took ages to catch her, turns out her back was so so sore. After we got that put right she was fantastic!L
hmmmm..... wonder if this 'seller' is a dealer..... I have done a bit of ferreting and found quite a few horses/ponies for sale from her! Not that it's anything to do with this pony or thread but I was curious!
very tempted, as looking for a pony to jump when my boy is retired....and he is like large version of our uncatchable rolo!! It can be done but you need another horse, shed loads of time and food and I prefer to do it on my own! Lots of people just stress them out more. Get it home and then keep it in until basic stuff is sorted! - then very small paddock!!
what rings alarm bells with me is she had it advertised for £2000 only a few months ago, and it was uncatchable then, so why would someone accept NOTHING for their horse?!
If she didnt have time for that one so threw it in the field, why has she bought another one?
and like someone else said, why not just contact a rescue or rehoming cantre.
My yard owner called me about this one earlier, she is thinking of getting him (has a horse box and about half dozen willing vic- i mean volunteers) and at the moment is trying to get hold of the woman who advertised him.
He probably just needs some tlc and lots of catching practice.
I would steer clear, digging round throws up awful lot of animals she has sold, this lady wont be giving it away unless any major probs! Everyone can catch a horse eventually, this is not a novice person....funnily enough another one was a "b**TCH to catch from same person!!
I got Touchy because when my uncle went to buy some horses in Ireland and he was the only one who could catch her. In fact she caught him, just walked right up to him, the bloke was amazed. To this day she is still fascinated by my uncle, at a show last month she tried to follow him into his already full trailer!
Some ponies do p**s you off but an ad like that is a bit extreme!
