Hello Everyone!
Am off to Badders on Thurs

and am on a mission to find some decent yard/stable boots! Can anyone recommend any?
I want to be able to wear them on the yard and then ride out in, so they need to be waterproof, comfy and safe to ride in. I've tried Ariats and am most disappointed in them, my beloved Aquacats have now died and am looking for a replacement as good as they were (they don't make them anymore!)!! I know I'm not going to find what I want at a bargain price, so any suggestions most welcome! Thanks!!

if you don't mind long ones, Ariat Grasmeres are heaven for your feet. bought mine in december and haven't looked back, they feel like slippers on your feet, supremely comfy, very warm, i've had toasty toes all winter (and cool in summer apparently), waterproof, nice to ride in (not tight on the leg though) and look really good imho. they've made my life on the yard bearable this winter, no exaggeration.
a lot lot lot better than the short ariat boots, which i've given up on now!

i bought some muck boots, cost about £35 they are thermal, soooo comfy, i ride in them, muck out in them and as there not leather they clean very easy, very hard wearing too, i love them.

hi!
i have always found mountain horse protective jodphur boots very versatile, and they tick all of your wish list!......... not expensive either!!

I agree about muck boots being great but i do find them hot in the summer. I wear aquacats in summer as they are cooler. They do still make aquacats. I work in a saddlery and we can still get them! They did stop for a while but are back now. I always find my aquacats on ebay

regarding hte muck boots- are they safe to ride in? they look like they might get stuck in the stirrups

am i being too cautious?

i'd like a short pair but only if they're ok to ride in

I wear the muck boot jodphur boots and they are fab for riding in. I live in them in the winter cos you can walk round the muddy field then just hose them off and go for a ride. They dont get stuck in my stirrups, maybe you have small stirrups!
