I just slice up carrots lengthways and give him those, but he has to do stretches for them! I don't have time to bake treats for myself, never mind for my horse.
aww
carrots is easy and simple just cut them up and feed them !! haha
i tried to get will to stretch for carrots or licket treats it doesnt work he just gets annoyed and gives up !
the recipes are so easy and work out cheaper than buying them from the shops though thats why i am trying different kinds of treats and making them seeing as i dont work (i go to school) i have time to make them most of the time !

Aww fanks! :) I mainly use treats to put in my girl's treatball, but most of them are just tiny.

No they won't affect them in such small quantities, but then I suppose that would depend on how many you feed at a time. My friend thinks nothing of giving her horse a whole packet of Polos - as if that's not bad enough, her brother's an equine dentist!!!!!

Here's my horse treat recipe: a good pat and say "good boy/girl".

I don't feed anything by hand; they don't need it and it makes horses pushy, nippy and not focussed on the job. Discuss.

But...I do sometimes share a bag of Flaming Hot Monster Munch with my old lad when the others are out of sight *blush*
