I have got a 2yr old 1/4 ID, 3/4 TB filly that I hope to show in hand this year. I was due to go to the North Yorks show on Sunday gone but due to a broken finger, ended up withdrawing.

This gives me more time to shop for a better in hand bridle and I was after some recommendations. She is quite fine, very dark bay and currently stands around 15hh so nothing too bulky.

Ideally, I am after English leather with brass buckles but I am not into the stitched nosebands and prefer plain. I want something that is quality but not costing a fortune as she will outgrow the bridle and will only be able to use it for one season. Not really into the Shires/GFS leather.
Does such a bridle exist? Can you provide pics of yours?

Thank you in anticipation.

Yes, they do exist. I bought this one second-hand from a local website for £15, used it once and then sold it again for £20 ;) I don't know if it was English leather but it was completely plain with just raised brow and nosebands with brass buckles, very smart and I polished it with black shoe polish! I also bought her a cyprium bit to match the buckles.

Jeffries do some really nice ones, this one is too fine for this ponies head really so might suit yours well. The noseband is raised and stitched but no fancy extra stitching

thanks all,

typically Spyda, the item you listed finished before I got to check it out :( but that is just the type of thing.
Unfortuately, second hand Jeffries are like hens teeth and the new ones are more than I wanted to pay as I won't use it for longer than one season.
