Thanks to everyone who offered an opinion. Spot the Risk summed it up I think for me, my three were 13, 11 and 9, lost the middle one just recently. Thinking back, the little one learned how to be a dog from the one above and it was easy to spend a bit of one to one with the pup as the older one was happy doing its own thing. Its been 9 years since I had a pup and you do forget how time consuming they can be! Hugely excited about Izzy arriving next weekend and have decided to stick with original plan and wait a while until we think about a second pup. Thanks again, AAD, the voice of reason
