... so she came down to ride him
He's just coming back into work after a good few weeks off with a stifle injury, walk and trot only at the moment, but I think the break has actually done him good. So excuse his slightly-larger-than-normal belly, it's a side effect of doing feck all for 6 weeks. He's also insanely fluffy as there didn't seem any point in clipping him when he wasn't being ridden.
To start with he put on a fairly impressive display of knobberness in the stable, just in case Sheep (Season's Bleatings as she is at this time of the year) was in any doubt of his right to his title, but once he was tacked up and ready to go he was very good. I'm sure Sheep/SB will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's fair to say that he was well behaved, only very mild tankage and it was out of kindness that he thought he'd show her how nicely he can do a canter transition at one point...
She rode him brilliantly, found exactly the right buttons to push and he responded very well to her. It was lovely to see him going forwards so happy and relaxed after a tough few weeks where he was really feeling incredibly sorry for himself... and I for my bank balance
So, the pics!
Sheep bleated that he was the biggest horse she'd ever ridden...
First time ridden over poles in 6 weeks. Knobberts likes poles.
Not a very flattering pic but to prove that he does have a functioning left stifle... nice hind leg Montster
Found his engine
Love these two pics... may have to photoshop Sheep out and myself in
Pats for a good Knobber... see, no fear of him with sheep now...
