Abby had a lesson on the potential new horse today with our regular instructor and it went beautifully.

So we have decided to go ahead and get her - she is a lovely mare and apparently - non horsey mum here - has very good lines - her sire is Parco and her grandsire is Darco!

I did listen to all the advice - and took on board what I know about my girls and what our instructor has said.

Abby is going back to riding club competitions for the next six months or so and will bring her on slowly in a place that Abby is comfortable and used to and then we will see.

So wish us luck - and let's hope we don't need it.

. Good luck with the vetting.

I am glad you have finally found something... fingers crossed for the vetting!

She is a lovely mare and there is a lot of potential that you daughter will enjoy achieving.

Hi Tia

She is a black five year old mare - a bit green in jumping - but soooo willing and a lovely ride.

This is a rubbish picture - more to come when I have downloaded todays. She has huge potential and it wont hurt Abby to take her through the local shows to give her some experience.

Ooh how exciting! She is a lovely mare! and hopefully she should grow into her frame a bit more over the next few years. Good luck for the vetting!

She is really lovely... I am glad your daughter has kept her confidence after her nasty fall too. Hopefully everything will go well with the vetting and we will have some great posts on their progress

To be honest she has had a tough time but she is determined to get back to where she was before and, subject to vetting, we can move on now and get her working on her confidence and technique!!

Good luck for the vetting. I managed to find your post and I think she is a lovely mare and Abby looks very comfortable on her. I was 13 when I got my first horse and she was a rising 4 year old, 16hh TBxID and I still have her, so I wouldn't be put off by age.
you have the right idea of spending time doing riding club and sounds like you have a good instructor there.
