This is my second post about clothing choices at Quest Regionals. For those that saw the previous thread in the Tack room (and some of you found great amusement in my Team white jods dilema) I think I've sorted out a solution (I will do an update at some point )??.
I'm now moving onto thinking about My Quest which I have also qualified for.
I'm of the general school of thought that thinks dressing in jackets, ties, shirts and the like, to do sport, is frankly quite weird. One of the things I like about Quest is that I can be much more relaxed in my clothing choices as jackets, stocks etc are not required. Even though I have succumbed to the peer pressure of show breeches, all season I've happily been out competing in a gilet with a selection of tops under depending in the weather, with a variety of coloured saddle cloths, and generally rejoicing in not having to wear a jacket and stock or get a white saddle cloth clean afterwards etc.
So in 3 weeks we are off to Quest Regionals and I'm undecided whether I should stick to my guns and wear what I have all season, or whether I should go against my usual opinion and conform with what most other people will be wearing (and part of my thinks it might be nicer for the photos) and wear a jacket and stock. I'm thinking about getting a nice new stock to match my champagne saddle cloth, so need to decide fairly quickly to order something in time.
What do you all think? Comfort and principle or photos and conformity? WWYD?
Pics of normal Quest attire, proper show gear and pony in his Champagne saddle cloth to assist.
