Dectomax injection was given to pony on a Thursday evening by early Friday morning he could hardly stand with laminitis , a month on and he is still struggling . does anyone have experience of this reaction to dectomax ?
Foot sensitivity (low grade laminitis) is well documented in systemic wormer use (long acting and injected wormers) in barefoot horses - the ones who feel it because they have no shoes on. For more information/examples, post on phoenixhorse.myfastforum.org
Pony was shod on fronts and on restricted grazing as he is a good doer since the injection he has been on foot deep shavings and 3 danilons per day with no sign of improvement.
