I'm sitting in an airport, it's 12am local time (8pm uk), I'm on a 3am (local) flight home that arrives in manchester at 7am, I fully intend to be sitting on my horse enjoying a sausage roll at 11am tomorrow.... I'm curious (because I am beyond bored!) what other acts of dedication you've done to make sure you don't miss hunting (& especially don't miss the opening meet!!)

Lol! Yep, I have left full instructions & I got all my kit ready last weekend, have a contingency plan if flight is delayed or traffic is bad to have horse delivered to the meet.... Only concern is that I'll be so worn out ill fall off!!

Maybe not as extreme, but first Autum Hunting meet I wanted to do this year fell on the thurs of Burghely, where I was meant to be helping on a tradestand from the tues, so instead arranged to go up on the thurs straight after hunting, then worked till sun pm including a few late nights socialising, got back late Sunday night and was back out hunting on the mon morning, then went to work at my actual job as a receptionist for a bit. Prop had been my maddest but will try and arrange things around hunting, last season had a day with the Puckeridge and we picked up someone else so think left home 7ish and got back at maybe 8ish then the next day I went over to Wales to watch a mate play rugby will confess didn't have to drive either day, but I don't sleep whilst in a vehicle anyway.
