Dee is off to the vets tomorrow...

Poor dee has had a lot to put up with lately!

For the past week and a half twice a day we have been 'looking' at her for signs of a season approaching....she hasnt diaspointed!

I am very pleased to inform dee is getting more 'swollen' by the day and becoming a lot more opinionated and 'sparky', a huge leap for in this today then she was yesterday. So off she is to be scanned by our AI vet tomorrow to check how her season is progressing, and then, depended on these results, she is going to be AI'ed!

:D I cannot tell you how excited i am!

And then yesterday evening i decided to come down with a vomiting bug...brilliant! I think i have got over it (feeling decidedly thinner) but managed to check on her earlier and there is no mistaking she is cooking along nicely....eek!

I've informed the wonderful owner of the stallion of my choice, Amour G, and now just waiting to hear some good news tomorrow re: her season.

On top of all this dad is currently undergoing surgery to remove a lump from his bowel.... so we are all very worried about this but initial tests are very positive.

So, can i be cheeky and ask for two lots of vibes? Firstly, for my dad for a fast, speedy and problem-free recovery, and also for dee, to become a complete tart in the next couple of days and get up the duff? :D
 
Of course, vibes to your dad and Dee - hope your dad doesn't have to spend too long in hospital and makes a speedy recovery from a successful operation, and I hope that Dee's AI happens and is also a success! When will you find out whether she is up the duff? Such an exciting time for you and Dee!
 
She will have a 14 day and 21 day scan after insemination...thats if we inseminate! Its a fine art trying to figure out when shes in season as she only really shows when shes full blown in and by then its too late. :)

I feel quite poorly again so hopefully ill be feeling better tomorrow :)

I always wonder if A.I'd mares are a bit confused by their "condition" ?! :p Let me know if she has a puzzled and slightly sheepish look on her face when she realises she's immaculately up the khyber! :p

How excitng is that about Dee ?!!! make sure you keep us ll updated im sure there are plenty of people excited about a pregnant Dee :)

I felt groggy all night last night but at 3am it hit :S, i was supposed to be working today but as i was still being sick at 7am i called in sick :(. I hate having to do that but not fair on everyone else (lots of parents with kids). So, duvet day today for me. I think ive got mysef run down with worrying about Dad tbh.

Im so excited! we need some good news!

My horrendously flirty-in season as soon as look at a gelding-mare went to the stallion for covering in hand... and wouldn't go near him! :p All talk and no trousers! Had to get her jabbed with prostaglandin to come into season in the end!

I think dee is happy to give it to the bloody sheep if i am honest when shes heavy in season :). Did you mare get in foal in the end?

That's what I said about Whisp- made me look a right twit in the end! Yes, thanks, she produced a lovely coloured filly for me (willow), who will be three this June! Time flies when you have a wee one!

Good luck with Dee, it is the most amazing experience. look forward to updates. :D

Hope your Dad gets rid of his lump and it turns out to be nothing; and that Dee gets herself a big lump and it turns out to be something very special :D
