Hmmpf! why cant I find any!

Im after a cheapish full neck medium weight rug, so far Ive tried an Amigo, which was like a crop top on Beau, and a Robinsons one, which again doesnt even cover his sides properly!

I had to put him out in it last night and he looked bloody stupid

Can anyone please recomend any deep fitting rugs? Pref around the £60 mark.

Ive seen medium weight weatherbeetac ombo's for £50, but not sure if they are deep fitting.

Its justso annoying tha they make rugs long enough for a big horse, but not deep enough.

The only rugs that fit him are Masta and Rambo it seems.

Rant over!

the lw that i brought earl is a shires rug and that is very deep and covers him all over very nicely,i have trouble with his rugs as well, hence the new stable rug as his other looked like a mini skirt lol !

All my horses have Shires rugs and they come down really deep, they suit little 12hh right up to our 15hh cobs and theres no belly showing at all. Some of them have really good tail flaps as well so bums are well covered as well!

My 16.3hh IDxTB is in a Weatherbeeta Taka and it's nice and deep on him. It's also got a belly cover, so nice and cosy. I had a Masta for him, which really wasn't deep enough. Mark Todd rugs are also ok on him. If you shop around online you can get a Taka for around £60, so long as you don't mind last season's colours!

Will agree with all the postings saying that wheatherbeeta are good and deep but the very best I've found so far are premier equine ( off their website). Both my friends mare and my own mare have them(16.2 and 16.3) and they come down to their knees!

Another vote for Premier Equine.

Have bought a 6'9" for our IDx mare (because fed up with her rambo last winter not being deep enough and muddy elbows etc).

The premier equine is nearly down to her knees.

Put it on her yesterday after being clipped and believe me she gave it a severe test. No mud anywhere apart from lower legs.

Can highly recommend.

Another vote for MT rugs, they are lovely and deep even on Millie who is a very solidly built ISH - looks like and ID. She's 16.2, in a 6'9 rug and not particularly long backed - that shows how wide she is!

Premier Equine - every time! All other rugs (except Rambo) look like hotpants on Henry. PE go up to a 7'3" which Henry takes, and are lovely and deep. They are also excellent quality and great value for money - I'd never use another make ever again! Henry is going into his second winter with the 200g turnout and it's just as good as it was when it arrived...
