So Springy has rather a voluptuous figure and all her stable rugs look like mini-skirts

I have a couple of mastas and a horseware and they are all the same, although her turnouts (amigo and premier equine) are more than ample. So any ideas? Needs to be cheap as poss as well unless I can get it off ebay

Are the amigo stable rugs fairly deep?
Thanks.

Masta contour stable rug is cut to an extra deep pattern & is much deeper on my ID than his Amigo Insulator or Shires stable rugs.

My Weatherbeeta looks fairly good on my tubby ID X. Had a Mark Todd and it was rubbish, didn't fit and didn't cover her belly at all! I have a Rhino turnout which looks ok on her too. And I'm pretty sure Shires ones are quite deep too! Try Barnstormers for Shires stuff.

Which weatherbeeta is it? Have seen the fusion ones on ebay, not sure about shires as never had one and don't think I can stretch to a rhino!

I have the Jasper and the Jasper Extra Lite. Both fit really well (which is odd as none of the Weatherbeeta turnouts fit at all! And she has Mark Todd turnouts but the stable doesn't fit!).
I've only stretched to a Rhino as I have a rug addiction, and my turnout will be used for stable and field so I don't end up spending another £75 on a seperate stable rug!

Jaguar has a HUGE girth on him.. he's so deep on the belly so like Springy wears mini skirts alot of the time!!

I have found the BEST EVER stable rug is a Masta Regal

Jags has both colours and the fit him lovely and have the shaped neck... for that extra warmth!!

The prices range from £55 to £100 - depends where you get it from - they are great!!

I agree with the masta regal rug. My 17.2 is built rather well too and I have the same prob. I find weatherbeeta rugs aren't big enough on the shoulders for him. I have the masta regal and the masta full neck combo(?) which are both really deep - even on him!! They're on the cheaper side of the rug market too!

Lucy, I have just bought Jack the Amigo Insulator (in a 6'9) and it fits him really well, plenty of chest and tummy coverage.

I can measure the depth on mine if that would help. Cost about £30 on Ebay.

Thanks Spaniel, I am watching those at the moment so may well get one. Jack is pure ID isn't he? So surely Springy can't be bigger barrelled than him? She's meant to be half thoroughbred!

I used to love my one of these (blackwatch tartan one) but when Asti grew her shoulders, it suddenly got too tight and took the bottom of her mane off.... GRRRRR

I am a total fan of the Fusion (Weatherbeeta) its fab! Got belly flaps and is a brilliant fit - never rubs at all. I just need to save up for the outdoor Taka version now...

I find Masta and Mark Todd a little too snug on her - and I'm with you on the oddness - mine is 3/4TB and mahoosive on the shoulder!

Have see a fusion in the right size on eBay too, but think it may end up being too much money. Will keep my eyes peeled though! Thanks

My FAL stable rug is very deep, the deepest Ive found of all rugs. Pricey, but you could maybe find one on Ebay. They last years as well.

Otherwise I second Weatherbeeta. Their turnouts are deep enough for one of my chunkier horses (who also wears skirts otherwise!) so I assume their stables are too.
