Although her feet have improved a lot I feel we've hit a bit of a plateau! Her frogs still look naff and heels still quite under run. Is it still early days??? She's sound on all surfaces except the stony track leading to the headlands round the farm, where she shortens her stride quite a bit and feels cautious but not lame as such. Fine as soon as she hits the grass. She wears boots in front for hacking on the roads.
She's currently out at night and in during the day. Will soon be wearing her grazing muzzle as the grass is greening up. Feed wise she only gets a handful of chaff, prohoof, and micronised linseed. She's ridden 6x a week. Average week would be 2 hacks, 2 flatwork sessions, 1-2jumping sessions depending on whether we are competing at the weekend.
Is there anything else I should be doing or just need to be more patient!!!

Do you have any other pics?

Her bars look very tall/heels high and underrun I guess frogs aren't anywhere near the floor? Much roadwork going on/what is happening with her trimming wise. Is she landing heel first and are you thrush treating that central sulcus (sorry for all the questions- just covering all bases!)

I'd definitely be patient though - have just had a nose at Frank's 4 months pics -also had under run heels but flat soles so perhaps developed his frogs a bit quicker.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry the pics are a bit rubbish! I can take more at the weekend.
I was cleaning her feet daily with a mixture of hibiscrub and peroxide but have to say am not doing as regularly any more as didn't seem to make any difference. There's no discharge or smell from her feet.
She's trimmed every 6 weeks currently.
She isn't hacking on the roads as much as she should as I've lost my hacking partner :-( I don't venture out on my own as I lost a previous horse in a road accident and finding a new hacking buddy is proving difficult. :-( maybe once a week if I'm lucky the rest of the time round the farm.
When a friend last filmed her moving (about 6wks ago) she was landing heel first in walk, toe first in trot and fairly flat in canter. This was in firm sand on the beach so may be different on other surfaces???
