DEET Naf Off

I emailed Naf about the DEET reactions, purely because I thought they should look into it - they would like people whose horses have reacted to it to contact them so they can investigate further - I am sending them my part finished bottle so they can check there is nothing wrong with the batch etc.

Could people please contact them to let them know as they are keen to check all is well. If you would like to see a copy of their email to me please PM and I will forward it to you. (Also in NL for exposure!) Thank you!

I use a 97% deet mixture for my horse ( i know the NAF one is much more diluted), he has severe sweet itch and its the only thing that keeps the midges away from the areas his Boett doesn't cover. I do find that if i have accidently put it on broken skin (especially around his sheath) the area swells up. I wonder if this is a common side effect of Deet. I find that if i wash the area thoroughly and sponge cold water on a few times a day for a couple of days he is ok and the swelling subsides.
