Dehairing the inside of rugs

I have a turnout rug that has a woolen type lining. The problem I have is that it has picked up a lot of short hair matted on the inside which I am struggling to remove. Does anyone know how you or the rug washing people dehair rugs easily? Any advice would be gratefully received.

I hoover them with the nozzle, makes a fair decent job of it.

I use a slicker brush on them, forgot this time and nearly wrecked my new washer, god hairs everywhere

I have a blue fuzzy mitt made by Woolite that is amazing at gathering up hair. Not sure where it's from as my mum gave it to me, but supermarkets may do them, or Amazon etc.

Lay on the floor and use a Vacuum cleaner with a rotating brush (like Sebo / Dyson etc)

I use a shedding blade, or if the material is more delicate a rubber bristled pet hair brush which i brought from the 99p shop

We use magic brushes, they are fab for velcro too!

A grooming stone is really good for getting horse hair out of things like the serge panels of a saddle and numnahs so I guess it would work well on a woollen rug.

Went into Lakeland and got one of their clothes brushes which is made out of stuff like "rubber bristles" if that makes sense.

Invaluable. Shifts hairs of everything inc numnahs, rugs, you-name-it. Fantastic little item

Great tip - I've got a serge lined saddle and a grooming stone; I'll get them together!
