I havent updated in ages, been busy with work and dealing with Delicia'son-off lameness issues, but we are back with a vengence!
We qualified for a local riding club dressage championship during their first show of the season back in the beginning of the year and have since then been out of the saddle for one reason or another. Luckily, Delicia showed no lameness for the last two weeks so have brought her back into work. I honestly didnt think we would even be placed, but as we qualified for Walk and Trot and prelim, nothing too taxing, i thought what the hell, its all experience at the end of the day.
We only bloody won the Walk and trot championship! Argh! Cue tears from me and polos for the pony!
We got a big pink and cream rossette, a matching sash (which delicia loved) and have an engraved trophy on the way! We beat second place by 3%
.
Went into the prelim, delicia's canter needs work and my leg ment i kept stiffening so was slightly disappointed to come 7th in that class but still so proud of my pony. The professional photographer had food poisoning and awaiting the club's photos to upload on their site before you see riden photos and prize giving photos, but i have a few to show.
Delicia loved every minute of the show, especially her lap of honour where she got to canter really fast
