I might have been foolish and bought Dengie Healthy Tummy for my 14.1hh 420kg(ish) pony. It wasn't the feed I wanted. However, I thought that because a couple of the horses in my yard have ulcers (🙄), I wanted to support their gut health more, just to be on the safe side. The problem is I forgot to think about his extra weight (stupid me, I know), and I don't know if this feed will cause him to gain weight with it being high in fibre and having oil in it?
I'm kinda stressing now lol why did I buy it idk but I've got it now so I'm going to have to make due somehow.

Anyway, it suggests feeding 2kg a day for his weight. Is there a possible way I could feed him less without him missing out on vitamins?

If you’re only feeding the Healthy Tummy then the 2kg recommendation will be the serving size needed to give the RDA of vitamins.
If you don’t want to feed that quantity then how about buying a vit & min supplement and feeding that in a reduced portion of healthy tummy?

I didn't think of this, I'll give it a try. Atm I'm just giving him around a bigish handful or so, he loves it, bless him. I will change over to a more suitable feed once he's so far in with this one.
