Im just looking at the Dengie website at the new HiFi Molasses free, the info on it is:
Protein % 10
Fibre % 35
Oil % 6.5
DE (MJ/kg) 8.5
Starch % 1.5
Sugar % 2

Hi Fi Lite is :
Typical analysis (%) ‘as fed’
Protein 10
Oil 1.5
Fibre 40
Ash (mineral) 9
Digestible Energy 7.5MJ/Kg

Is there a huge amount of difference?
It says on both info pieces that a vit and min supplement should still be fed, so would there be any point in my changing from hifi lite to molasses free?

It really depends on how much you are feeding. If you only give a handful then the difference between the two is going to be negligible. But if you are feeding it in larger quantities, then the Molasses Free would be better for anything that is very sensitive to sugar.

dont know the nutritional difference but the molasses free has pellets in it but the 'lite' does not. Definately has a different look about it.

At the moment I feed Melly a scoop of hi fi lite and a small cup (about a coffee cup) of Fast Fibre with her vits/mins, gluocsamine and mobile mover. Seren, who has 17 weeks gestation left, has a larger cup of fast fibre and a quarter of a scoop of hifi lite with her vits and mins, she is a cresty pony and although she has never had lami, Im very concious of the fact that any flush in the grass or 'better' hay/haylage blows her crest massively....

ETA - Spot the Risk, we posted at the same time! Thanks for adding that, that is one problem I have! :)
