Dentist been today - re head tilting

I was hoping the dentist was going to find something in Axeys mouth which would cause him to head tilt, but he didn't!
He had some sharp edges on the inside of his back molars on the left but nothing that would cause him any problems, although he is a very sensitive little horse so you never know!
Went out for a hack and he was fine, having a lesson tomorrow, so will have to see then

Horses often tilt their head to avoid bending on their stiff rein ie. a horse that is stiff on the right rein will tilt his head to the right. Suppling exercises like carrot stretches can sometimes help.

My horse had a head tilt. She had quite a few 'odd' symptoms and ended up having loads of tests and scintigraqphy of her head but nothing came back positive. I hadn't noticed the head tilt which you could see when she was 'at rest' as well as when being ridden. She was also ataxic. In the end it was decided that she probably had a middle ear infection at some point and bute seemed to help a bit. Over the years it has virtually disappeared but every so often she has a little flare up.
