I made up too much Deosect solution yesterday and just wondered if it'll 'keep' until the next application in two weeks?

I dont think it will, when I used it for lice I remember throwing a lot away as it didn't keep. I'm in work now ( vets) so will check and get back to you if I'm wrong but I believe it only has 24 or 48 hrs once made up.

Hi, thanks Monsters. :)

Bummer, though! Had hoped it might last a little while as it's supposed to work on the animal for up to a month, but hey ho. My fault for mixing too much up.

Louby: Not sure it works all that well regardless even freshly made! I put it on yesterday and the bloody flies were settling before it'd even dried on her yet. Hmmm.... last a up to a month?! Not blinking likely. Not even 2 minutes from my experience.

That`s because it`s not designed to be a fly repellant, it kills the flys on contact with the treated animals hair, thus reducing the fly population. I use deosect but also a few squirts of Avon SSS for repellant when needed :-)

Ahhh another reason why I didnt think it worked very well :)
To be honest I dont think any are that great, Ive tried loads. Avon sss stopped my boy rubbing but burnt him. I was using the dry oil spray along his mane like and tail, stupid me, its oil and in the sun I fried him, poor boy
So please make sure its diluted if you try it.
