Does Deosect treat lice when it is diluted as a fly spray or is it to weak at this stage? Does it only treat lice when used as a wash as per instructions?
I have heard it can be used as a fly repellent, is it effective?

Ive just started using it as a fly repellent as my horse hates crab flies.

I think it is only meant to be use diluted.
Just the frequency changes with use.

I was told either fortnightly or monthly for a lice issue until cleared.
As a fly repellant ive been told some people use it weekly especially if you swash your horse off a lot.

I think the dilution is the same, but for lice they recommend sponging rather than spraying, so using more at a time. I just use it fortnightly and it does everything.

It will kill lice dead, with using it as a fly repellent it doesn't keep flys off so much, but Iit will kill them on landing.

Always use it diluted as it's fairly potent stuff
