I've got a tin under my sink. I didn't realise they still sold it! Pretty much as good as anything else for flies. I remember not perservering with it though because it was a pain to apply.
Very powerful stuff and works very well. You may need to wear a mask when applying as its very potent - almost like paint-stripper! When I applied it to my pony her back was covered in tiny dead black flies in the morning
It keeps everything away apart from the sodding horse flies - it still reduces them though. You only apply it once every 2-4 weeks. We mix it, then sponge it on. Dont do it on a hot day though - the pores of the skin will be too open and the horse may react to it - like someone else has said - it's pretty powerful stuff!!
We must be the only ones that it doesnt seem to work for
We dilute it as directed and spray it on but it doesnt seem any more powerful than any other fly sprays on the market. Our horses are still hounded. Even used coopers but thats just as ineffective. We must have super flies
