Derby horse sales

As melton in now officialy over the closest sale to me is derby (i think) but i just wondered, what sort of horses go through there, and what are the prices like? And any additional info?

I hadnt been for about 15 years and was passing a couple if months back so popped in and must say I was appalled with the state if some of the horses there there was the odd nice one but I was so shocked by some of the others. Needless to say I haven't gone back and won't be.

I used to do Melton and Derby a lot, often used to be able to see horses got through Melton at the beginning of the month and sell, they would turn up at derby at the end of the month!

The standard was pretty similar and I'd say derby was only a bit worse but I haven't been in a couple of years. As with most places it can vary week to week .
