As above I have still not received my order despite the cash leaving my account over 2 weeks ago for 4 day delivery in stock items.
I have rang the national consumer advice line - Citizens Advice run this for local trading standards teams. They log issues and report trading standards breaches to the relevant local authorities. Calls cost 3p per min.
They have advised that Derby House is in breach of the Distance selling regulations 2000 by taking funds and failing to fulfill the contract and supply goods in a timely fashion. They have also advised that Derby House are in breach of The Finance Act in all cases where they have not supplied goods and failed to refund the monies within 30 days.
The consumer advice line is going to raise a complaint of unfair trading with my trading standards and Wigan where Derby House are based.
I have been advised to wait until the 30 days is up and then send a recorded delivery letter stating that they have breached the contract under distance selling regs and ask for an immediate refund. If Paypal are involved they need to be advised separately where goods have not arrived as they may be able to support the refund.
The number to call for the National Consumer Helpline is 08454 040506. The more people that report this company the greater power to trading standards to require that they stop trading unfairly.
NB: Please be aware that I can evidence my situation, complaints and non delivery from DS just in case
