Derby House Jods

I know I haven't been to the gym for a while but I was very glad that I ordered a size larger than normal - they are very snug (and my old jods that are one ot two sizes smaller - Euro star - still fit me) so I would def order a size bigger. I ordered the leather seated ones
 
I ordered a pair of the Vancoover (sp) ones and I have to admit that it feels like my internal organs and my legs are being criushed to death! I cant remember eating that many pies?!
 
oooohhhh I am buggered then I have just ordered some and think I have been a littler optimistic about my size ! have ordered 3 pairs but bet none of them fit !

The ones with the suede seat come up small tbh - i have to do some interesting moves to get them on so that the crotch isn't down by my knees.
The cotton ones (Dakota I think) come up big
 
mmmm in with a chance - have ordered smaller size dakota and both smaller and larger size vancouver (which I dont think I will have a chance of getting on)

ooh well - dakota were on sale at £16.50 and vancouver reduced to £25 ! bargain (until have to pay postage to send back again hahaha)
 
I brought a couple of pairs a while ago, 28" and 30"' couldn't get the 28" past my knees and could have fit 2 of me in the 30"'s! Haven't been pursaded to buy any more despite them being a good bargain!
 
I think the people making clothes for women just chuck out a batch and label them randomly for a giggle. My friend tried some Mark Todd jods and couldnt get a 28 past her knees when that is her normal size, another 28 (same style) pulled up but couldnt be done up and the 30 were much too big !!!

sizing can be random. my sarm hippiques are a bit tight, DH fit nicely and some k*ty ones I got are too baggy around the arse but are a size smaller than the sarm and DH ones :rolleyes:
 
I have some of the Ottawa breeches and they are beautiful - but do come up small. I also have a pair of the cotton breeches, can't remember the name but one of the cheaper ones, and they are about right size wise. Both wash and wear brilliantly so can't fault them really.
 
I agree with the sizes coming up small. I ordered two pairs with leather seats, same size as my other ones and they lie dormant in the drawer - can get them on but very uncomfortable.
 
I have lots of pairs, love them! Always buy the full seat ones and I think they come up small, I am a size 10 in jeans and yet most of my derby house jods are 30" (or 28 if really stretchy). Also really best to try them on as I bought one pair in the shop then when they were on sale ordered EXACT same pair off website and they didn't fit! Took back to shop where another pair of EXACT same jods fit fine!! Girl in shop said that was quite common! :D

Oh no don't let the sizing put you off! Just buy the next size up! They're lovely jods, well iv got their breeches. I would've sent them back but needed them straight away otherwise i'd be 100% happy with them!
 
OMG I really am buggered ! if Lara b is a size 10 and has to buy the 30" I dont think I would get in the pairs I have bought ! I dont think they do a big enough pair for me hahah (stuffing cake down face as types !)

Well I am probably a generous 10 ;) and always seem to take bigger sizes in jods due by ample bottom! (also cake induced!):D
