as title, would people reccomend or not? (appalling service aside!)

i mean the bright red combo turnout, think its 360gm (£90 approx), and the purpley 200gm under rug/stable rug(£45 approx).

TIA :)

I haven't seen the rugs but would be interested in any answers.

Their new catalogue is beautiful I think and they look like they have really upped the quality of their rugs. I've spent too much time drooling over it trying to decide what lovely things I would buy! :)

Yes I'd recommend there rugs, for the price they do the job.

Ok so they might not last you years (buckles etc) like the more expensive rugs on the market but then you pay 3 times as much and if you don't mind having the odd strap replaced then you'll be happy, I don't bother, for that price I just buy news ones every year (horse has been growing out of them anyway)

I've always been happy with the generous fit around the wither areas and the quality of the rugs.

Only thing that puts me off buying more is the service, as they have to signed for, great but when you’re at work, nobody is at home and they put them back on the courier, then you spend another week chasing them up and trying to get your rug back! if you ask them to post it to your work address, 9/10 it lands on a blooming Saturday...again back to square one.

I ordered 2 of their fleece rugs, my mare only had one of them on overnight in the stable and the next morning it was ripped where the surcingles are sewn onto the rug. I've never put the other one on over night incase it happens again.

I bought two heavy weight combos last year and been very pleased. As said, not perhaps as good quality as the more expensive brands, but still robust, reasonably deep, nylon lining ( i don't like cotton linings) good tail flap.
They have the medium on a very good offer at the moment and I am hoping that the same offer might appear on the heavy weight soon as I am reeasonably sure I bought mine on offer at £45 ish...

I bought heavyweight combo with free (very smart) fleece last year for £50. Very pleased with it. My TB is highly destructive and although a minor repair needed it coped well! Never leaked, fits nicely. Has a satin type lining too which I prefer - cotton rubs mine.
I am lucky enought to live relatively near one of their outlets so dont have to worry about the delivety malarky!

i dont have one of the rugs above ( i am considering buying one) however i do have two of their fleeces and i think they are brill :D

I have a medium weight that i bought for him as a baby 3 years ago thinking it would get trashed and it's still going strong!! Lovely rug, never leaked, i have had it repaired twice, once ripped the front and the second time he managed to put a foot through the backend lol but both times it came up nicely.
If you state in the 'other information' or whatever it is on the order form that you want it left without a signature then they will just leave it for you, learnt this after a few times chasing orders for weeks on end!!

I bought the under rug last year for my mare (looks same except different colour) I love it! Lovely fit and no different to similar weatherbeeta one. I got mine in a 20% off weekend thing which they do every now and again

Was it you that was looking for a red gillet? matchy matchy and all that. ;)

I spotted one the other day and I thought of you (or the person on HHO if it wasn't you :D) Bridalways Equestrian products do a nice red smart looking gillet.

I've bought 2 of their turn out combos and they have been good value for money. Sadly they are no longer around due to naughty field mates hanging off them when he was in herd turn out. No rug stood a chance against 15 geldings, hence buying cheaper rugs so it wasn't as heartbreaking when they were in bits!

Not sure about the turnout but my friend has the under rug and although it would be a perfect buy for my horse who looks after his rugs ***touches wood**** her's trashed it, the fabric is not very strong and the buckles not the best quality.

iv got the watergate and one or two of there stable rugs n exercise sheets. I havent had a prob with delivery altho got delivered to Yard as always someone around to sign!! they fit my IDx TB brilliantly never rubbed and wraps nicely under his tum, he has had it 2 winters now and it has had minor repairs but never leaked just having it reproofed for first time this year. For the value they are great.

I bought one in the sale in the spring! £40 i think. For my youngster, it fits well and seems pretty decent however he hasn't worn it yet so will have to wait for colder weather to see if its any good. looks like some good reviews on here though!

I bought the combo under rug last year and its fantastic! Just ordered the medium combo as its only £40 at the moment on sale!
Ditto the appalling service though.

wouldn't touch their rugs again!!

Purchased one for my youngster last year as knew he was going to grow! Within 5 mins in the field (on his own) the leg strap was hanging off and the front buckle had broken!! Within 2 days it had ripped where the surcingles attach.

Also found their sizing very small and the neck never fitted (and he doesn't have a massive neck!)

well, in the end i bought the combo turnout, but went for full neck WB fleeces instead of the under rugs as decided they would be more useful, will let you know how i get on with it!

thanks all :)

CM-i hope yours was just a one off bad rug!!!!
