What are they like now? I have my eye on one of the turnout combos and I got a discount code for it. When they first came out I found them really good rugs. I bought one a year or so ago and it was just rubbish - binding came away as did the attachments. So, yay or neigh? Pony is very good with his rugs.

I have 3 & all have performed really well. My pony lives out 24/7 & is in a H/W turnout with neck. What with torrential rain, hail& snow it has kept her warm& dry. What more can I ask. :)
The other rugs, a M/W & L/W turnouts are just as good.

Sounds good then!

I will have a look at threads. Anytime I've ordered from them though I've always received when they say. Hmm....

The 1200 denier rugs are excellent. The 600 denier are too fragile. The clips at the front also seem to give way too easily on some of the rugs and I have had to replace them.

have a look at threads about DH over the last fortnight or so. Delivery issues.

I ordered a whole pile of stuff last week in their sale and it was all delivered with 3-5 days. Havent had a DH rug in ages but the one that I do have from a while ago I found wasnt that deep (was fine on the finer TB). 1200D better than 600D (but that is true for any brand, including Amigo etc).

The rugs are great for the price I have just bought the HW combo turnout For £30 with the promo code, I spoke to my horsey friend yesterday and she bought 2 early last year and hers are still waterproof but the clipps died early on.
I have purchased 2 stronger clips already for my new rug, these will be swapped over before i use the rug.
But overall its cost me less than £40 so I will be happy if it lasts a tew years.
:O)

I think the rugs are wonderful - deep and warm on my chunky ISHs, very waterproof, but the clips are really cheap compared to the Shires rugs. Having said that, my heavyweight rugs are into their 4th season and haven't broken, although only tend to get worn Jan-March if that. Hate the silly fur round the top of the neck (behind ears) though - what was that about! Just gets wet!

Is there a sale on? May have a trip over to their store this week if this snow doesn't come!

I have numerous rugs and breeches. Very pleased with them all - all bought in various sales. I think the rugs in particular are overpriced at their normal price but perfectly goodif you an get hold of them at half price or less. A word of warning about the breeches though, they are very snug and not terribly stretchy. I find I have to go up a size otherwise I can't get them to do up!

Oh dear! I don't know what size to get then. I went for a 24 but now thinking I should get 26. I'm a size 8. I'm usually a cheapskate and get kids ones in a size 30!

I bought a rug in the sale and it's actually quite decent. It's a 1200d high neck. The material has been really good so far, we have had one of the grottiest, wettest winters for a long time and it does NOT leak at all. The front buckles are rubbish, but they are easily replaced anyway, and I always chop off leg straps and replace with fillet strings.

For the £42 I paid for it if it lasts a couple of winters like this I will have had my money's worth. The main problem I had was having to threaten them with trading standards for the time they took to send it in the first place!!

Well I ordered one pair of Jodhpurs and 2 rugs late on on Sunday night. Was quite gutted that the second pair I wanted were out of stock in my size. Anyway, thumbs up for derby house because the jodhs have arrived today ! Thought that was really quick. They're lovely, and thanks for telling me to go up a size, I'm glad I did. Just for the rugs now!

I just bought a 1200 denier turnout for my ASBO pony, who seems to revel in rug wrecking :p He gets caught in brambles, plays hard, and wriggles out of them too. He is a 2yo sec C so most rugs his size only seem to come in 600 denier, so I was very excited to find a 1200 for a good price at Derby House!

I ordered it on Friday evening and it arrived today (Yodel, but tbh the guys who deliver for them up here are fab!)

It will be going on tomorrow. ASBO can be found on FB where he will post an update on his new rug, if anyone is interested!
