Well thanks for not replying to my email for a month and then sending me this

grrr rant over

I got very annoyed about them, I ordered a coat on 04/09/08 and it turned up the middle of last week (the delivery time on the website was 7-10 working days!). Was very unimpressed with them and told them their customer correspondance was absolutely atrocious (sp)!
Both times I ordered from midweek madness I had a far bit of trouble waiting for stuff to actually turn up. I shall not personally be ordering from them anymore either.

I made the vow last year that I would never use them again, and I havent done. I usually check things out on their website then order them from somewhere else

Their customer service and response times are truly appalling, they never seem to have anything in stock but are unable to tell you that for about a month after you have placed your order, and new stocks take about 4 months to come in.....

Its sooo infuriating

As I've been riding in my dubarry's for the last month waiting for them and now I have to go and buy new ones anyway !

And the worst bit is ... there still showing up IN STOCK on the website

ETA - The derby house website has now disappeared

I am not buying from them again, had a massive rant at them last week
crazy.gif
for lying to me, sending a misleading email, and having a terrible attitude to customers.

3 weeks I waited for my order, only when I rang up to ask where it was was I told they didn't have any of the items (3 sale 1 normal stock).
Were going to offer a replacement but couldn't understand why I didn't want a blue 4'9 exercise sheet instead of a 5' newmarket one??!!

Also now vow never to use them again.

I had the same problem when ordering from their midweek madness sale and vowed not to shop with them again. I think there's a fair amount of us on here who also decided the same thing. Its a shame cos they ruined a lot of good individual businesses when they turned it into the monster that is now Derby House. Should have left them be

They have got too big too quickly and seem to think they rule the saddlery world.

I usually use frogpool or the saddler shop.com for all my horse needs between them they are usually cheaper than DH and a damn sight more reliable.

I also had problems with their mid week madness and waited 3 weeks for a jacket that was showing in stock with a 7-10 day delivery time.

I have sent an email of complaint but have still had not response.

This has spurred me on to write another complaint, maybe this time by letter.

What a huge disappointment for you all.
I found this forum when I couldn't find the DH site to say Thank You for some truly exceptional service!
I ordered a DH own brand saddle cloth as a present for a friend. It was delivered in 2 days. It was not the same colour as the catalogue. I rang up, and a very helpful lady told me to send it back by post. I did.
2 days later, the same lady called me to say that the supplier had got the colour wrong, sorry. She had looked in the warehouse and found the colour I wanted, but in a different make. Would I accept that instead? No extra cost and she would send me my postage. Yes please, I answered.
1 day later a Mark Todd saddle cloth was delivered, perfect colour match.
My wife and I agreed that we have never experienced such brilliant service.
I am so sorry to discover that this appears to have been very unusual for DH. If the entries here are typical, DH is doomed to fail - and the lovely helpful lady will lose her job.

They are like most online equestrian retailers. Some orders they send out quickly and correctly, others they muck up and you then have a nightmare trying to get them to fix it.

I ordered a rug in midweek madness last wednesday, they were lovely and sent it to us by the friday early morning.
Longest my orders have ever taken is about a week.

I won't be buying from them again either.
I still haven't recieved my order from over 3 weeks ago, which should have arrived within 7-10 days. Having read this thread, I think I'll go elsewhere next time.

Most online retailers, in my experience, can at least accurately tell you what they do and dont have in stock. Derby House have consistently illustrated to me that they cannot even manage to do that. Anyone in the company heard of a decent stock control system

It would seem not
