Please can you describe your horses temperement and behaviour?
This is to contribute to my anthropological study, all data will be anonymous, I know the question is a little open ended but you can respond in any way you like, thanks I'm really grateful for your time and hope you'll find it interesting too! :)

Harry is a welsh pony, he lost his mum at 8 weeks of age and had a hard life of neglect.
He is a lovely boy, when I got him he ws a dope on a rope however with feeding and work he has come into his own

He is fun and cheeky but very safe and dependable, I trust him with my 3 yr old son but sometimes he takes the pee with me and can be a bit nippy.
Happy to be with any other horses, is not a dominent pony and will run the other way rather than get in a fight.

He is a little trier and seems to love hs work and really loves praise

My arab stallion is very chilled out when you need him to but when he knows it's ok he loves to have a blast around the arena/countryside. Occasionally nips. Loves to be out and about and seeing what's going on. Likes to show off (even more so if there is a nice looking mare watching :D)

:)

Yup, bred for looks not for brain. If she was human, she would've been pregnant by 15, financially supported by her wealthy parents, rehab in L.A at 18, pregnant again at 19, disappears for several months to 'find herself' at a Buddhist retreat and does a full page Hello! spread ( for a nominal fee) on her return.:)

Phil is a 12 year old Welsh Cob. I've owned him for 10 years and he never fails to surprise me. He's quirky, cheeky, spooky but has a real personality. He's very vocal (currently on box rest) and just has a way of making you smile. He can be quite frustrating as he definitely pushes you in the way he behaves sometimes, and he doesn't seem to understand boundaries (there are a lot of things I've never let him get away with, but he still tries it!).

But he's very comical and a doll with the children.

Bailey. 14.1hh cream dun Highland. 4 years old(near five) Owned for 3 years.

He is one character.. and a half. He was defiantly a human in a previous life
Bailey lets you know when he is happy and when he is sad, when he is going to drag you through a bush and when he is going to give you this most beautiful trot ever.
He is very calm, yet characteristic, he very clumsy and would trip over his own shadow. He loves other horses, always wants to meet new horses, adores shetlands. He really adores everything that moves. Riding wise, he is stubborn and ploddy but he can be a speed demon and devil if someone feeds him sugarbeet.
He is the best behaved boy in the world, knows his limits with people, would not hurt a fly but can stand on you by accident, and does not know his own strength. Will adjust to his rider very well. He has his little quirks, possibly I gave him them. He walks on the grass all the time(I used to force him on it as a youngster :p) He drags you through bushes- I let him.. :p Instead of walking slippery hills, he spreads his feet and slides down them(genius)!
He is like me in every way to be honest. :p
Laid back, clumsy and does not use his inteligence in the "correct" ways :p So to speak!

Sorry for the full on blab :p

Moses = A cuddly teddy bear, very sensitive and affectionate. He's mannerly and respectful a delight to be around, pulls cute facial expressions to gain food or affection too!!

Alfie = Honest as the day is long but being a youngster he likes to push his luck a bit!! He can be a bit aloof and likes to give the odd nip. I don't titbit him as I have a feeling he would become a pushy swine, he can be food aggressive too. But he is also mannerly and respectful if you are firm but fair, he will no doubt grow out of the nipping stage!

Maisie = An interesting one, can be very nervous and lacks confidence, not mareish at all but bolshy and strong to handle. Very sweet and loves a groom a delight in the field and lovely at shows, she does the odd inhand now she's retired. She was rescued about 10 years ago and had some severe issues though. I would have loved to have got her as an unspoiled youngster she would have been awesome!
