I am looking to buy some quiet, cordless clippers for my fluffy cob. Unfortunatly his previous owners have abused him and his isnt so keen so they need to be as quiet as possible

I am looking to give him a partial clip, blanket/trace possible so dont need to be good enough to fully clip.

I need to spend as little as possible max £160ish as money is extremely tight.

I have found Wahl Moser Avalon and Liveryman Harmony clippers. Has anyone used these? Or can anyone recommend any other ones :)

Thanks

I have the Avalons, love them. I bought them for my horse who had suddenly decided the cord was a monster!
I was reccomended that they werent suitable for very thick coats, so not sure how they would cope with your fluffy boy.
My horse is ID x shire x tb and grows a decent coat but its soft. They cope fine with his feathers and have been worth every penny

Thanks for your comment :)
I have read that too, however some people have said that they are fine for thicker coats.
He doesnt have super coarse hair tho. Just dont want to spend the money if they arent suitable!!

My horse has a thick but soft coat, if that makes sense , it isnt course at all but they cope well with his feathers which normal trimmers wont cut??
It was the online shop that warned me about course thick coats, they said someone had sent them back and complained. I havent had a problem. Mine came with ceramic blades, they are expensive but I got a 2nd set off ebay and then bought some steel ones too, just incase. I prefer the ceramics.
