Okkk, firstly, I think this is within the rules, im honestly not trying to advertise sneakily, I just want some advice / criticism, as Iv had over 50 calls/ emails about the pony, but not one has been from a serious / knowledgeable buyer, just absolute morons / timewasters.

For eg " Will the pony grow"
me - "I think she will just level out, and fill out a lot more, as she tones up etc"
"Oh...so will she make 16.2 for a gentleman to hunt on"

WTF

Seriously, that kind of caller every bloody time.

So is there something seriously worng with my advert, or have I missed out something, or mislead or whatever....anything you would change?

My friend suggested I added a price, to attract more serious interest, but the thing is im in no rush to sell. I have put her on the free sites now, to gauge interest, if she sells she sells, if not, no loss type of thing, but the actual plan is to get her out a bit, show in hand, unafill sj, bit of xc schooling, pleasure rides etc, then advertise properly (h&h / horsemart etc) Obviously the price will be a lot more than what I am asking now, and so im reluctant to put a price, and someone see in a month or so that she has gone up , and it ruin a sale for me ...do I make any sense

Also, if people could give me a rough guide on price, as the other type of buyer Iv had is the "Would you take 250 and I will pick it up in an hour" Obviously I have a rough idea in my head, but i'll tell you for nothing, 250 dosent even come near, so just wondering from an outside point of view what sort of value I should have in mind

Big thanks in advance to anyone able to help, Muchly apprechiated. Lucille x

I think the bonkers timewasters are due to you putting her on the free ad sites to be honest- your advert looks good although I would want to see ridden/jumping pictures she comes across as a very nice sort. She should surely be advertised as a 5yo though?

Price wise, if she has schooled but not competed and is nice and quiet to hack then I would say £2000 at the moment and yes, I would put a price on there. If someone mentions it in a few months you can say that it's because she has competed/won.

Maybe you could put details of her breeding in, which could help some of the poor confused people who think she will grow to 16.2.

As long as you are not putting a price on the ad, you are always going to attract people looking for a cheapie. If I were looking for a horse like yours, I'm afraid I wouldn't even ring you no matter how much I like her, because you hadn't put a price in so I would automatically think you wanted something silly for her. But maybe that's just me :)

Perhaps some ridden photo's would also attract a more educated, serious buyer, as well as a decent confo shot.

I have to agree I wouldn't even look at something without a price and you will always get time wasters looking through free ad type sites/mags. She looks a nice pony, and I would agree with pricing around the £2000 mark. To be honest, the price isn;t likely to go up in a month so I wouldn't worry about that. Maybe after several months of competing you could up it.

If you are not worried about selling her, I wouldn't try at this stage, I would get her out and about then pay for a decent advert. Also add ridden and jumping pics, and one of her standing side on.

She does look nice.
