Does anyone have ANY experience of this!? Anything, good or bad.

I have a 2 year old ESS who I adore.
He has been diagnosed through endoscope examination and has an operation to flush everything out by drilling a hole through the frontal sinus and injecting saline then a steroidal anti fungal cream.

This was 4 weeks ago and it has come back with a vengeance. Obviously vet needed, but any experiences from anyone!?!

I'm sorry I have no experience, but just wanted to say I hope you manage to find something that fixes it, it sounds miserable.

How are you and your dog doing? I hope there has been some improvement for him.Ive not had this to deal with but have gone through something similar. My last dog had an infection with a variety of proteus that was resistant to all twelve groups of antibiotics..what a journey that was,and we went ahead eleven years with the battle..I do hope you've been able to break the cycle of this pathogen and are seeing some light ahead.

He is going in on Wednesday for another flushing. May require multiple times. Just so sad to see him so depressed and calm. He has stopped bouncing!

Aspergillosis can be an absolute nightmare. Prepare for a long battle I am afraid. Also need to consider they may be some underlying problem that has weakened his immune system allowing this infection to establish. Good Luck.

just for anyone who may be interested in an update!

we have had another flush and endescope done. the vet said he couldn't see any fungal infection up his snozz but he flushed it through anyway. that was 2 weeks ago and he is looking brilliant so far. he hasn't been this bouncy for months! as an interesting aside, he has had a serious amount of excess keratine on the top of his nose for months since it started. last week it came off! i think it may be due to his immune system picking up so that is fantastic.

i think the key to this is to have a good vet. mine has been like a done with a bone (pun intended!) and i think it is personal for him now! he has been fantastic.
