I am desperately seeking a sharer for my 17'2 KWPN 7 yr old gelding to ride 1-3 days a week/weekend (flexible) in exchange for contribution to costs. He is lovely and stunning and tons of potential. Moving to be kept in Gerrards Cross area West London on full livery. Opportunity to compete and I have a 3.5 tonner box to be used. Has brand new dressage and jumping saddles. Lovely, loving, willing, kind horse yet not getting any responses from anyonw. Can anyone help or suggest where I can advertise? He is just not getting anywhere near enough work and is being wasted

If you fancy moving him to Hampstead way Im game! hehe is a shame you're not closer as he sounds lovely, Ill forward your post to my west London friend

I echo lexiedhb - how much are you looking for? I'm based in Ealing, West London and might be interested. Also what's his dressage like? I notice you say opportunities to compete and that you have a box - would you be willing to insure someone else to drive it or would you drive it to shows?

Personally I'd want to see a horse where it was going to be kept before agreeing to a share. Unless it is only a very local move for you I'd wait and re-advertise once you're all settled.

Our riding club is based in that sort of area, slightly more maidenhed way but still, if you wanted an ad in newsletter might be an option? And maybe put some ads up at shows etc round this area?

It depends on where he is going to be kept. If I move him to Windmill Farm (which is looking most likely) then I would require a little bit more as I would be paying a lot to have him full livery there because of the facilities (the schools are immense and there is an all weather gallops etc). Depends on how many days the sharer did and how much they wanted to compete probably between £150 and £250 a month all in everything included. Already insured on the horsebox as I have any driver over 25 fully comp and it is a brand new conversion. His dressage is basic prelim stuff but he was only broken at 5 and turned away last winter so it is a lack of milage rather than a lack of ability. He is bred for dressage so has no lack of potential just training hence looking for sharer help but hard to find a competent rider!

NB Cavblacks he was in Mill Hill - that's a shame hey!
