DESPERATELY! My fields are just not coping now I have 3. Number 3 was meant to be sold and I had to buy him back (long story). Considering putting him on loan and going back to 2, but don't want to risk putting him through another ordeal, so on the search for more grazing so we can keep him with the others.

So, does anyone know of any grazing in Maidstone that is available? Even for just a few months to rest my land and then I'll have longer to find something for next winter.

No idea where to look on internet for adverts. So if anyone can help me find something, it is getting desperate!

Nothing in local tack shops and local farmer doesn't know of anything (but will ask around for me - he is great!)

Please help me find something guys - you're always so helpful so thought I'd put this task to you!

just found 10 acres, willing to split - got very excited!

He wants £30 per acre (or per horse - whichever is greater!) per month. No shelter, water or electricity and I'd need to fence it myself (minimum he'd expect is stock fencing, but he'd rather post and rail!)

Is it just me, or is that crazy?!

Lol i bet i can guess who that is!

Do you just want a field or stables as well? You could try Jean Roberts at Magpie Farm purely for grazing, i think they would have to go into a herd though if she still runs things the same way, been a few years since anyone i know has kept their horses there.

Or Chestnut Wood, Scragged Oak Road, Detling always look like they have fields free. Again don't know anyone stabled there anymore though.

I do know someone at the yard that borders Scragged Oak and Court lane in detling though i could ask if there is space. Depends what type of thing you want though and where. Can't for the life of me remember the name of that yard.

I don't want to go on a yard - have my own land and have become very unsociable with it! Just want a field to rent to rest my very poorly draining fields.

I thought the going rate for a field was about £100 per acre per annum, but people are taking the michael with prices at the mo!
