all our local farmers have run out!!

Sorry can't help hay wise. But was a recent post on HH about how some haylege has less sugars than some hay. If absolutely desperate, maybe check out second cut, high fibre haylege, big bale works out quite well, and might be able to be delivered. Just a thought.

Fleabite - You aren't selling to the public atm! I rung this morning, and was told that you are running short, and there is a waiting list should hay become avaliable!
xsezzx- I'm having exactly the same problem. Rung a load of suppliers this morning and they are all running low. I'm accepting I'm just going to have to buy expensive hay.

Really?!!

I was offered a big hay order just as winter came in and I declined because he said he's offer it to me for less

Hm, try "The rug scrubbers" or the Hunt Range. They're 5 minutes away and generally have some.

Plus, they're a shop not a livery yard so wont be saving any for anyone

A lovely lady answered the phone and she was very appologetic about it all. She said they are prioritizing liveries, understandbly, so you should be alright.
We've only got enough hay left to last us a few days, a week tops. Deffo out before xmas. We've been trying to find some for ages, but because of the wet weather, everybody started haying early and so is running low. We bought some in, but don't have a hay barn, only a spare stable to store it in, so we can't bulk buy in autumn. Really need to find some soon!

Thanks all - managed to get some today - 30 bales - friends mum picked them up in a van for us so hopefully should last us a month or so!
