It's a shame nobody has recognised your horse. Have you thought of finding saddlery shops near where you bought him from and putting ads with photos up? There may be more of a chance of him being recognised then. Has the person you bought him from not been able to help at all?
When I was trying to track a horse I had sold I put a plea on the Your Horse forum. Initially there was no response so I posted again a few weeks later. Someopne who knew her currently saw it and replied. I was able to find out she was currently hunting and affiliated SJ. Don't give up and good luck.

Thanks for idea. One little problem we live in Surrey:)Im not in very good relationships with that person after we found out he is MUCH older then been told.

You could still try contacting tack shops in that area with a poster about the horse. It would also be worth sending them to Pony Clubs and Riding Clubs in the area you bought him from as well. Good luck.

Has this horse done dressage. There used to be a horse at Speedgate Farm close to Brands Hatch that was called Hudson but I dont know what colour he was or anything more about him. Ibelieve he belonged to someone called Karen and Melvin.

Just to save you going there, Hudson is a big coloured chap so it won't be him.x

Try riding clubs in the kent area, i found my old horse and bought him back again and it was thanks to someone in the riding club forwarding an email i sent her, i sent her photos and all the info i could about him and asked her to pass it on to anyone she thought could help trace him, my email ended up going out to lots of people in riding clubs all over scotland and thats how i found him. Fingers crossed same idea would work for getting info in your boy. Good luck x

Im a bit confussed..... the seller had him microchipped and you made the passport ??

What passport is the microchipp associated with ? the seller would have completed details on the microchip form and the vet stuck the microchip number to a passport.

It all seems that you have been dupped somewhat, if the seller had "lost" the passport a replacement should have been ordered not another passport made up. It appears you have done wrong by passporting a horse that already has a passport, but the seller has also sold a horse without a passport which again breechs DEFRA's rules.

Do you know where the seller aquired him from ?
Was he vetted, did the vet agree with the age ?
Have you tried looking on NED for chestnut gelding with his hight and go 5 years of the age you thing he could be, just a long shot.

Lwvtb:
Yes we were duped, we accept this and have moved on from it, it was after our vets visit when she diagnosed Floaters we felt we needed to see if there was an underlying medical condition.
As regards the passport seller claimed to have applied for replacement, shown copies etc.
Only later did we realise it was a con.

Best of luck.

Oh and by the way, when you click on the photo it takes you to a dubious russian site!:eek::eek:

Not saying you are a dubious russian but it is a bit odd. :D

Just thought I recognised the photo...was it the one used for the original ad?

My wife is a dubious Russian, lol, the site is her equivalent of Fliker.
you say you recognised the photo but he wasn't advertised, we went to see another horse and bought Hudson.
