Desperately Seeking: Joules Tweed Field Coat

I was wondering if anyone has one of these and would share their opinion of it?

I tried to get my hands on one before Christmas but unfortunately failed, so I'm desperately seeking on in a size 12, in the margie check.

If anyone has an unwanted Xmas present, or any ideas where to find one, please let me know!!


N.B I have tried the obvious routes of Ebay, calling all Joules shops in the UK, and have tried countless country clothing stores.

I'm sure I've seen one of these recently... No idea as to size or exact colour, but maybe worth a try contacting the two places I've been to, i.e. Eland Lodge, and RE Farms (tack and feed place in Derby).

You most definitely will not get one through Joules and trust me I know

John Lewis on Oxford Street had a couple the week before Christmas I think but doubt they'll have a 12.

If you google Lawrie and Symington and get the country store phone number- I think it's 01555 660099 - you'll probably be able to get them to post you one, they do have a few in stock(I was up buying some other stuff today and they had about 5 of them). Oh and they have 20% off all Joules stuff at the moment too. Don't know if it matters but they're based in Lanarkshire and are part of our local auction mart, I'm not sure if they normally post stuff out but they're very helpful normally.

As for opinion of it, I have one and love it and I think I'm going to buy the red version too. Hope this helps

Looks a gorgeous coat...have you managed to get one yet OP? Could I ask you all how they come up size wise? I remember a few years ago joules coming up small but think they've tweaked them since then. Are these jackets ok size wise? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions everyone! I have tried all the websites which were suggested, and unfortunately all were out of stock.

To those of you who are lucky enough to own one, if you fancy parting with it... I'm willing to offer more than what you paid for it!

I don't think the Margie check will be re-stocked. I've literally just finished working for them after years & it was certainly wasn't on the carry over list up until Christmas. Whether they then decide to do so, is anyone's guess.
