I'm hoping one of you might be able to help me do a little detective work.
First of all, I don't feel this is one for Missing or Trace, but I would really love to know if anyone here or any one you know might be able to help me find the breeder of my rescue dog.
Firstly, I must point out, I do NOT intend to breed, so put the muzzles back on please!
I'm just interested to find out the family history of my boy, if there are any things i need to know health wise & generally just anything i can about him & his line.
Secondly, please, I am not, not, NOT looking for them to give him back, he is my world, my everything and my best friend.I simply want to know his history.
He was sold by a breeder to his original owner in 2009 and he remained with them until he came direct to me via a rescue. I have several facts that will help you!
He was born on 10th August 2009 so turned 3 this summer.
His parents are both white, from a white line.
They had semi good but patchy English & heavy accents so I've been told they mentioned Swiss White Shepherd/White German Shepherd to the rescue assessor who mocked this to me(yeah yeah whatever) until I pointed out you do get white breeders tho they are not KC recognised if they are Swiss Whites in the uk (Berger Suisse Blanc/Weisser Schweisser Schafferhund) Comparing those I know in Switzerland & the white or standard gsd's I have know, I would say he is more like the Swiss breeding due to his features, his coat feel & texture, tho I am also aware this can vary greatly even among GSDs so it could be either-the litters born date will help.
The breeder had him microchipped but the microchip companies would not even disclose the vet. - could any of you help? He is reg'd with Petlog. he also had his puppy innocs with the breeder.
He is medium straight coated, very silky, thick dense fur. Big boned & straight backed.
He was sold at 8weeks to a foreign couple who were either living in the London or Southampton area.
He is male & was named by the breeder - Connor. The breeder also told the couple this meant 'Wolf Lover' He is very wolfy(but a big softy!) My feeling was that the breeder was a caring one rather than a back yard one from the things mentioned.I think they saw both parents.
The breeder was a man(may have been part of a family/couple tho) he lived on an 'estate' near a castle. The original owner described it as a landed estate type large property more than a housing estate!. I believe it was in the Bristol/South Gloucestershire area. It was big beautiful & green. (will prob be a flat on a dark green council estate!)
Papers - he was not given to me with any, tho they had moved house 8 times while they had him. They didn't say he did or didn't have any, but not being UK or very dog orientated they may not have known the relevance.
I would love to know about his family line/health anything at all...and would dearly love some pics of him as a pup -you know the usual!
Does anyone think they can help? In time, I would LOVE to have more of his breed and would take the right rescue one in a flash - plus it would do him good,he loves other dogs once they are friends but is fearful of new ones(tho this is partly due to them having people attached!) I would happily pass my name to the breeder incase any siblings came back and needed a new home. He's had a really rough time between leaving his litter & coming to me, including getting hit by a car & being injured on the run for a month, but he amazes me every day in little ways & slowly we are getting there & his confidence has rocketed - thanks partly to some HHO'ers who were fed in return for being very unscary & getting barked at.
Right...over to you now...bloodhound noses at the ready? Go find!xxx
