not that it would worry me beacause i dont personally use it due to the ill effects. But would be interesting to find out why they have banned it etc... if they have.

Not as far as I know. Many anti inflam products which are herbal based contain devils claw, I used to feed it liquid form.
I cant see why it would be banned.

depends how you interpret the rules. not sure about the BE rule book, but the BD one bans anything that enhances the musculoskeletal system. given that devils claw does the same sort of thing as bute, it kind of comes under that category, so morally you would be breaking the rules using it. technically however, they have no means of testing the horse for devils claw so no way of finding out if you've used it!

BE also states anything that enhances the musculoskeletal system. Interesting point that morally/technically you would be contravening the rules but there is no means of proving it.
