Ok, my second request of the evening......

I'm a bit bored of the cold/ the mud/ the snow/ my horse growing out of his saddle/ more snow/ more cold/ dark nights ......

and we've been saying for ages that we must go to the beach, so I'm sat here with my glass of wine planning fun stuff to do when the weather gets better!

We are in south somerset, so the Dorset coast isn't a million miles away. Can anyone recommend any particular beaches/ areas/ summer access restrictions/ parking restrictions (4x4 + trailers)/ tips and advice/ etc about where to go/ where not to go?

Are there any guides published? I may do a visit with the dogs before I take neddy to make sure I know where to go!

We don't mind parking a bit inland and hacking to and from a beach, but would prefer not too many busy roads.

I know about Brean and Berrow in Somerset (although never ridden there, only walked the dogs), but would like to try somewhere new.

Any suggestions greatly received!

Cheers me dears!

Exmouth, although that may be a bit far for you.

Or book a couple of nights accomodation with your horse somewhere - I believe Bosworth on here does horsey and human B&B? She is on the north side of Dartmoor, so you'd have open moor to ride on!

Studland beach in Dorset, look on the NT website for parking and restrictions, although i think you can park on the road near the ferry for nothing, if you don't mind unloading on the road, best to check.
