Devon people?

Been looking at a few places in Devon, just wondered what it's like living on or near Exmoor and also the area just West of Exeter, with riding in the Haldon Forest area? Any hints or tips appreciated thanks

Haldon was lovely, but TBH has now been developed mainly for cyclists - the tracks that I used to ride (by breaking in over the banks!) are now strictkly off limits for horses. There is a horse area next to the race course, I used to hace there when I kept my horse at Chudleigh, and it's good but you'd get fed up with it pretty quickly.

OP - are you looking to buy, if so, can you give an idea of what you're looking for, and if you're happy to, a general budget. I live west of Exeter, just inside the DNP boundary, so can possibly point you towards good and not so good areas!

Ditto... although I had my mare in livery at Upton Pyne for a bit... Hacking was very limited though.

We are 5 miles from Exmoor boundary

I did look round Dartmoor last year, it was nice too! Exmoor looked lovely driving round but seemed very wet, I wondered whether its extra hard to make hay on or near the moors because its so wet? Interesting about Haldon thanks. The outriding on Exmoor looked amazing. Spot, you helped me before, will pm you thanks!
