Had his second cruciate ligament op yesterday and picked him up at lunchtime today. He had a huuuge buster collar on and kept walking into door frames and walls. It has now been removed as he is really good and doesn't lick the wound. Sleeping peacefully and happy to be home. Now the fun starts as got to keep him as quiet as poss for 6 weeks!!

Hope he recovers soon! We had to cover our kitchen floor in blankets and offcuts of carpet to try and keep her on her feet when our girl came back from hers. My fingers are crossed for him!

How interesting - hope he recovers fully.

My boy is in vets as we speak having crutiate ligament done. Don't really understand what they've done but something like they've cut into the bone and reduced the angle of the bone from 27 degrees to 6!! Basically he won't need the crutiate ligament now? Vets have just phoned to say all went well but the arthritis looked worse than it did on the x-ray

I hope to be picking him up tomorrow night and like you, how the hell I'm supposed to keep him quiet for weeks I don't know. I do have a crate though so I think lots of nights on the sofa for me.

They plate the leg and I have to say that the left leg, which was done in July, is almost perfect. I have three dogs so keeping him calm is a nightmare. I take him on the yard with me but tie him up so he can see me and help me muck out! It is worse after the first couple of weeks when they aren't feeling so sore. Hope your girlie is OK and good luck with her recuperation! Thanks bNc and TSH he sends woofs and licks to you!

Thanks CALA. Can't see the R & R working out too well nor, for that matter, the pampering for me either. Let the games begin. Here he is snoozing and a snap of his op. Very neat hey?
