Diabetes in Ponies

Does anyone have a pony with this condition ??

We have had the vet out and this has been suggested for our ponies sudden weight gain , we are having a test done but i know very little about this condition and would appreciate peoples advice and opinions.

Insulin resistance is known in humans as one of the causes of Type II diabetes, so there are a lot of people in your situation. Where the cause is obesity/being overweight, it is to an extent manageable by diet, so fingers crossed this is how you can manage it. If you research insulin resistance, you'll get a lot more search results.
