Brought daughters loan pony in tonight and she is lame. There is swelling and heat around the fetlock on the inside left leg.She has been hosed for 15 mins and put in the stable and I will keep her in for a few days until I speak to vet again. She has also had 2 danilon for swelling and has a support bandage .I have my own ideas what the problem could be but would welcome another opinion. All the horses were stamping their feet tonight with midges so she could have knocked her inside leg but I think it might be more serious Im trying not to overreact but having had my horse off for ligament and tendon injuries I dont feel very positive. Thanks for reading

To be honest, could be anything, so don't get too gloomy too soon! My horse did something similar last year, inside of fetlock very swollen, about 3/5ths lame. I was convinced he had damadged his suspensory ligament. Box rested him for a week then took him for a scan. He had just bruised the ligament sheath, 2 weeks walking then he was back in full work

Thanks Kanter.I had every intention of keeping her in on box rest but she kicks the stable door.I have put her out in 5 tiny inter locking paddocks so she can only walk she was a right madam in the stable spinning round etc. thought she might make injury worse.

Hi spoke to you about lame pony ,heat and swelling have really improved Im still having vet look at her on wed but if it was tendon or ligament do you think it would have improved this much in 4 days.My horse took about 10 days before there was any improvement but I suppose they are all different.
