diarrhoea with a stress out Lab

Hi , I'm new to this forum,

Last week I lost my old Labrador,

My young labrador is 4 weeks into pregancy My bitch in pregancency is now stressed with losing my old dog that she come down with diarrhoea. i really concerned she may re absorb her pups with stress. Is their anything I can do?

I have some diarrhoea table but it doesn't say if safe for a bitch in pregancy. Any help would be grateful. Thank you.

i would take her to the vets to be on the safe side dont give her anything until you have asked the vets!

Hi lab1 and welcome to the forum. So sorry that you have lost your old lab - RIP. As bb, I wouldn't give anything to your pregnant bitch unless your vets have ok-ed it, just in case. But there is a pheromone diffuser thingy that might help a little. Other than that, I'd say (a) try to stick to your normal routine with her because this will reassure her, and (b) you will need to grieve and there is evidence that dogs grieve too. But your girl will be picking most of her worry up from YOU. So try to quietly grieve whilst still being the same "you" for your girl. Have you posted this in Dogs too? You might find some more advice there x
